The following are some of the major Bible verses that speak to homosexuality and transgenderism. The verses speak for themselves regarding God’s views on these issues. Today we are faced with the choice to follow God’s word or societies ever changing whims and dictates. Courts make decisions, states pass laws, both shall pass away. God’s Kingdom is eternal, His law unchanging and His judgment just.

Jesus said: “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in Heaven.” Mt. 10:32.

 

A moral statement:

“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” Leviticus 18:22

“Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things…ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations…” Vs 24 & 26 etc.

 

A civil statute for the nation of Israel during the pre-monarchy state:

“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth wit a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” Leviticus 20:13

 

An example of judgment sent by God:

“And Yehovah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.” Genesis 18:20-21

“But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter. They called to Lot, and said to him, “Where are the men who came in to you this night? Bring them out to us, that we may have sex with them.” Genesis 19:4-5 WEB

“… And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door…Then Yehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Yehovah out of heaven.” Vs 9-11, 24.

“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication [sexual immorality], and going after strange flesh [pursued unnatural desire], are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” Jude 7 KJV [LEB]

Judges 19 records a case of attempted homosexual rape that resulted in Israel’s first civil war and the near destruction of an entire tribe for their support of the homosexuals.

The following is a passage from the book of Romans in the first chapter:

“20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [passive homosexual partners], nor abusers of themselves with mankind [nor dominant homosexual partners], Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”1 Corinthians 6:9-11 KJV [LEB]

 

“Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whore mongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind [homosexuals], for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.” 1 Timothy 1:9-11 KJV [LEB]

 

“And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?” Matthew 19:4-5
